pure michigan

kev and i went up north this past weekend for our anniversary, and had an amazing time. we started in mackinaw city, stayed the night and headed to the island in the morning. we biked the island, walked around and enjoyed looking into the history of the island (well kev more than myself!) then we headed to traverse and had dinner downtown. the next morning we visited the local farmers market and did some shopping in town. we left there around noon and headed to glen arbor and to sleeping bear dunes, meanwhile soaking in the most amazing sights, colors and views. kev got so sick of me saying " oh my gosh...this is beautiful."
we climbed sleeping bear dune, hiked a 3 mile trail around/through it, and took the scenic drive with about 12 different places to stop/get out and enjoy a view. we were only gone two days, but 100% worth it. we had such a wonderful time together. kev would probably like me to mention that we went 600 some miles, and he drove it ALL! most of our driving time was spent along the lakeshore...and i loved every minute of it.
